Street Food Cinema Hosts Pet-Friendly Fourth of July Weekend Event with 'The Princess Bride'
Los Angeles' beloved outdoor movie series, Street Food Cinema, is bringing a unique and festive experience to Griffith Park over the Fourth of July weekend, perfect for families—and their furry friends.
On Saturday, July 5, the Autry Museum will host a screening of the cult favorite “The Princess Bride,” followed by a projection-mapped visual show in place of traditional fireworks. This non-pyrotechnic alternative makes the celebration safe and welcoming for dogs, who are invited to attend on leashes.
The evening will also feature live music, a variety of food trucks, fresh popcorn, and a full bar offering themed cocktails. Moviegoers can compete in a round of interactive movie trivia via their smartphones, with prizes including Hollywood Bowl tickets.
Ticket prices are as follows:
-
General admission: $22 for adults, $10 for children ages 6–12
-
Reserved seating: $27 for adults, $15 for children
-
Kids under 5: Free
This special event is part of Street Food Cinema’s 2025 summer film series, which kicked off earlier this month with a sold-out screening of “Wicked.” The lineup this summer includes a mix of recent hits, fan favorites, and anniversary showings.
Highlights include:
-
A Pride Month celebration in June with a 30th-anniversary screening of “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar”
-
A collaboration with Disney’s D23 fan club for a 30th-anniversary screening of “A Goofy Movie”
-
Special presentations of Academy Award-winning films “A Complete Unknown” and “A Real Pain,” in partnership with Searchlight Pictures
Additional movie dates and titles will be announced throughout the season. For tickets and the full schedule, visit streetfoodcinema.com.
