Darker Places formed in Los Angeles in 2019 when bassist/ vocalist Alex Maciel recruited guitarist Rick Marz, Brian Rocha on drums and Eddie Torres on lead guitar. They immediately hit the studio to put out a 3 song demo followed shortly by their 5 song ep. In June 2020 Darker Places released their first full length album Alone Together available through all the major online platforms. Fans of Darker Places have said the music is unforgettable, high energy and relatable. To quote a recent newly acquired fan "songs for a crowd who is sad, but still wants to dance".
