Levinia was founded in 2015 by former Aerius band-mates, John Pinon and Dylan Suierveld. After Aerius' mutual disbandment, Pinon and Suierveld decided to take a break from the Los Angeles Power Metal scene, and start a new melodic metal project, originally entitled Lavinium. John and Dylan brought on Opera Vocalist, Court Henson, as their vocalist, in order to produce a more "Symphonic and Classical" sound. After spending a few months recording and releasing their demo EP, Alluring Fear, the band was itching to evolve their sound. They immediately jumped into writing for their debut EP, Liberation. The band worked with producer Charles "Kallaghan" Massabo, to help modernize their music. They brought on bassist Casey Artus, changed their name to Levinia, and hit the ground running with recording Liberation. The EP dropped on Halloween, 2018. However, Levinia still wasn't satisfied. They continued to write and record new music. With the departure of their bassist, Court, John, and Dylan brought on Rhythm Guitarist, Alon Mei-Tal to evolve Levinia's sound to become more unique and powerful. The band's goal is to create music that has never been heard in the scene.
