A Message from Councilwoman Monica Rodrihuez for District 7

Angelenos across the City are facing employment and economic hardships due to the coronavirus outbreak. If you’re unable to work due to having or being exposed to COVID-19 (certified by a medical professional), you can file a Disability Insurance (DI) claim. If your employer has reduced your hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19, you can file an Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim. You can also visit California's Employee Development Department (EDD) to learn about resources to support tax assistance, caregiving, and other sudden illnesses. As your Councilwoman, I will continue to provide updates and resources as they come.
