'Shades of J is a musical resonance brought forth through the connection of singer/songwriter Justin Boudreaux (from Louisiana), guitarist/singer Jason Owen (from Minnesota), and percussionist/singer Johnny Simon (originally from Michigan). Just as the West Coast dream of a musical career beckons so many from other parts of the country, music itself and the passion it unleashes brought the three of us together. As a harmony-rich trio, we've never had more fun playing, and those who connect with us are forever impacted.'

Our style ranges in interpretation from Alternate Rock, Classic Rock, Americana, Country and Blues. We're a collective songwriting unit and love to perform, having averaged 100+ live gigs/year going on four years now. We're in process finalizing our third release to be titled 'Excessive Moderation' following our previous releases; 'Picking Up Speed (2015) and 'Talk About It' (2014). Our sights are set towards sharing what we love with a wider audience (so again, many thanks for this opportunity).
